Pushing myself
Clawing my way to the top
Pushing myself to the brink
Where I'll colapse
Striving to improve by only a second
And to beat everyone
At their own games
The cool water
Keeps me going
And the pain feels good
Because it means
That I am stronger
I do it for my enjoyment
And for the sence of fufillment
Which I yearn to feel
But never quite grasp
As I push myself
To the point where I colapse
I love swimming.
Granted, I only do it during the summer. I'm on the swim team and we're the best in our division. Teehee, we rock.
I really do push myself. I eat heathy at home so that I'll be more energized, and I cut back on eating sweets before a meet. By the end of the summer I'm nearly ten pounds lighter XD

I love being in the water and felt compelled to write this peice.

I remember my first 50m butterfly. Sure, I won in my heat, but I almost got DQ'ed because I couldn't haul myself out of the pool for a good thirty seconds! I think a teammate game me a hand, but the funny part is that I don't remember. Good times!
